Few thoughts about the financial crisis the whole world has been engulfed in.
Who is to be blamed? Obviously the first in line are the greedy bankers that have created the mess with unscrupulous deals. The people bankrupt their business and got bonus for doing so. It’s unbelievable, really difficult if not impossible to comprehend. On top of that they are asking now for government assistance. I agree that we have to find a way out of the mess and government assistance should be given, but only under very strict conditions. No executive bonuses should be allowed and no dividends shall be distributed until all government infused monies have be repaid. Furthermore a salary cap should be imposed on all banking executives asking for government help.
The other option is governments to assume control of the banks, but this would most probably lead to a complete collapse, as history teaches us.
Another factor that exacerbates the crisis are the media, and I don’t mean to shoot the messenger, but they should be more responsible.
Half, if not more, of the crisis is psychological and the media coverage as is done is a major contributor to the exacerbation of an understandably bad situation. Journalists have forgotten their role a suddenly became producers of horror movies. Dramatisation of the news is the trend but without caring of the effect in the psychology of the people.
